Morphology

Symmetry and Form

Monad, radial_symmetry, isopolar, 3-colporate, elliptic in equatorial_view, circular in polar_view

Dimensions

Polar_Axis = 50-57 µm; Equatorial_Axis = 44-50 µm

Apertures

Three colpora; Colpus: narrowly elliptic and long, colpus apex obtuse, distance between the adjacent colpal apices 8-9 µm, margo undifferentiated, aperture_membrane granular, thin costae_colpi absent(?); Os elliptic and lolongate, oral_costae absent(?)

Exine

Coarsely_striate (intercolpia) to rugulo-areolate (polar_areas), width of ridges: 2-3 µm, tectate, infratectum columelloid(?), exine thickness at the mid-point of the intercolpium ±2.5 µm

Remark

Classified under Amherstia group by Graham, A. & Baker, G. (1981): Humboldtia has been characerised as coarsely_striate approaching rugulate

Tentative Pollen Typification

Humboldtia type I
