Morphology
Symmetry and Form
Tetrahedral_tetrad, radial_symmetry, distal_poles with polar_areas; Porate in position B the outline is triloboid
Dimensions
Diameter = 54-70 µm
Apertures
4 pores; Pore diameter(4-5 µm) and annulus ±1.0µm, poral membrane psilate, poral_costae absent(?)
Exine
Verrucate(1-3x1.5-2.5 µm) sculpture, tectum microperforate(d = ±0.5 µm); infratectum columellate; exine thickness 2.5-3.0 µm
Remark
Basically of tetrad configuration, the microperforate exine surface is verrucate in a few species and non-sculptured in others (Lobreau-Callen, D. 1977)
Tentative Pollen Typification
Lophopetalum type I
