Monad, radial_symmetry, isopolar, elliptic in equatorial_view; (sub)circular ( E > P ) in polar_view.
Dimensions
Polar_Axis = 22-25 µm, Equatorial_Axis = 20-23 µm.
Apertures
Three colpora, colpus elliptic, colpus apex acute, distance between the adjacent colpal apices 5.0-7.0 µm? (pseudosyncolpate due to flexure), margo undifferentiated, aperture_membrane psilate, costae_colpi present; Os: elliptic (1.5x4.0 µm) with curved lateral ends, lalongate, oral_costae present.
Exine
Tectate, striate, ridges predominantly meridionally oriented, mur ±0.5 -0.8 µm, infratectum columellate [inconspicuous columellae layer-(Baksi, S.K. 1976)], exine at the mid-point of the intercolpium ±2.0 µm.
Remark
A eurypalynous genus characterised by 4 types, one of which subdivisible into 8 subtypes [see Muller, J. 1985).
