The manuscript is composed of a text containing palm leaves numbered from 1 to 86 and of ten additional leaves. There are 2 missing leaves and two leaves numbered 34. The manuscript is in excellent condition.

The text, entitled Cikiccai Yōkam Maruntu Ceimuṟaika, and the additional leaves focus on formulation of medicines : they are written in both prose and verses. The preparations of medicines concern :

Decoctions : Tirāṭcāti kaṣāyam, Atimatura pāvu kaṣāyam, Mātaḷāti kaṣāyam, Tiripalāti kaṣāyam, Vāta cura kaṣāyam, Pitta cura kaṣāyam, Cileṟpaṇa cura kaṣāyam, Elāti kaṣāyam, as well as a decoction for varma injuries.

Medicated oil : Karuñcūrāti eṇṇey, Navāccāra tailam, Karṉika vilvāti eṇṇey and Carvāṅka tailam, as well as tailam for treating infections caused by animals and bad evil (tōṣam, tērai tōṣam), cough (irumal), wounds (piḷavai), eczema (maṇṭai karappāṉ), and diseases due to vāta imbalance, and a tailam for mainting ear health (kātu vaḷara).

Dried plant powders : Kōḻi cūraṇam and Tāḷicapattiri cūraṇam, as well as medicinal powders (tūl or poṭi) for treating delirium (caṉṉi), oliguria (nīraṭaippu) and indigestion (māntam).

Electuaries : Cūriya piṟacāyaṇam and Kuṟiñci racāyaṇam; Pāla kriṣṇa lēkiyam.

Medicated ghī : Cayakulāntakaṉ ney and Kōḻi ney, as well as ghī (ney) for treating colic pain (cūlai, irai cūlai), muscular atrophy (kaṇai), aphthae (akkaram) and indigestion (māntam).

Pills : Pāṣāṇa kuḷikai, Mātaḷāti kuḷikai and Elāti kuḷikai

Wax-like medicine : Kuṟiñci kuḻampu, Caṉṉi kuḻampu, Kurōcāṇi kuḻampu, Cañcīvi kuḻampu, Mātaḷāti kuḻampu, Porikāra kuḻampu, Muṭṭai kuḻampu and Eḷḷu kuḻampu, as well as kuḻampu for treating fluid retention (kenṭai nīr), wound (puṇ) and diseases due to kapa imbalance.

No specified medicines (maruntu) for treating dysentery (aticāra kaḻiccal) and vomiting (carttal).

A specific medicine prepared from hen called Mattippu used for treating delirium (caṉṉi)

A bolus (kavaḷam) for hiccup (vikkal).

A talam (an external application based on animal blood and plants) for treating delirium (caṉṉi) and headache (talaivali).

A porridge (kañci) to quench thirst (tākam)

1 முதல் 86 வரை எண் கொண்ட ஓலைகளை உடைய நூலை கொண்டதாகும் இந்த சுவடி.இதில் 10 ஓலைகள் அதிகமாக உள்ளது.2 ஓலைகள் காணப்படவில்லை மற்றும் 34 என்னும் எண்ணில் இரண்டு ஓலைகள் உள்ளன.இது மிகவும் நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ள ஒரு சுவடியாகும்.

சிகிச்சை யோகம் மருந்து செய்முறைகள் என்ற தலைப்புடையது இந்த நூல், மற்றும் கூடுதல் ஓலைகள் மருந்து செய்முறைகள் பற்றி கூறுகிறது.அவை விருத்தம் மற்றும் உரைநடை வடிவில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.மருந்து செய்முறைகளாவன :

தைல வகைகள் : கருஞ்சூராதி எண்ணெய், நவாச்சார தைலம், கர்னிக வில்வாதி எண்ணெய் மற்றும் சர்வாங்க தைலம், தோஷம் மற்றும் தேரை தோஷதிற்கு தைலம், இருமலுக்கு தைலம், பிளவைக்கு தைலம், மண்டை கரப்பானுக்கு தைலம், வாத நோய்க்கு தைலம் மற்றும் காது வளர எண்ணெய் ஆகும்

சூரண வகைகள் : கோழி சூரணம் மற்றும் தாளிசபத்திரி சூரணம், சன்னிக்கு தூள், மாந்தம் மற்றும் நீரடைப்புக்கு பொடி ஆகும்.

லேகியம் : சூரிய பிறசாயனம் மற்றும் குறிஞ்சி ரசாயனம்; பால கிருஷ்ண லேகியம்

நெய் வகைகள் : சயகுலாந்தகன் நெய் மற்றும் கோழி நெய், சூலை, இரை சூலைக்கு நெய், கணைக்கு நெய், அக்கரத்திற்கு நெய், மாந்தத்திற்கு நெய்

Extent and Format of Original Material

Size of the manuscript : 23,4cm x 3,5cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 1 to 86 in Tamil and Arab. There are two leaves numbered 34 and the leaves 38 and 39 are missing. There are 10 additional leaves belonging to other manuscripts. The manuscript is in good condition.

The manuscript contains 96 palm leaves of 10-12 lines per leaf, with two wooden boards.
