Description
The manuscript is composed of a text which is complete. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
The text, entitled Paittiya Nitāṉam is attributed to Kumpamuṉi; it is written in verses. It contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 68. It describes mental disorders (paittiyam; insanity) in terms of etiology, clinical features (varalāṟu) and name (peyar), and provides medicinal formulations to treat them. The names of disorders which are mentioned are : āvēca paittiyam, apikāca paittiyam, mauṉa paittiyam, curōṇita paittiyam, vikāra paittiyam, tāka paittiyam, aḻal paittiyam, mūrkka paittiyam, naṭukku paittiyam, viṣa paittiyam, piralāpa paittiyam, pitta paittiyam, āṅkāra paittiyam, ñāṉa paittiyam, kaiviṣa paittiyam, kāma paittiyam and citta paittiyam.

முழுமையான ஒரு நூலை கொண்டதாகும் இந்த சுவடி.இது மிகவும் நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ள ஒரு சுவடியாகும்.பைத்திய நிதானம் என்னும் இந்நூல் கும்பமுனி இயற்றியதாகும்
இது விருத்தம் வடிவில் எழுதப்பட்டது.1 முதல் 68 வரை எண் கொண்ட ஓலைகளை கொண்டது
இந்நூல் பைத்திய நோயின் வரலாறு, நோய் வரும் வழி, வகைகள் மற்றும் இந்நோய்க்கான மருந்து செய்முறைகள் பற்றி கூறுகிறது.இந்நோயின் வகைகள் : ஆவேச பைத்தியம், அபிகாச பைத்தியம், மௌன பைத்தியம், சுரோணித பைத்தியம், விகார பைத்தியம், தாக பைத்தியம், அழல் பைத்தியம், மூர்க்க பைத்தியம், நடுக்கு பைத்தியம், விஷ பைத்தியம், பிரலாப பைத்தியம், பித்த பைத்தியம், ஆங்கார பைத்தியம், ஞான பைத்தியம், கைவிஷ பைத்தியம், காம பைத்தியம் மற்றும் சித்த பைத்தியம் ஆகும்

Size of the manuscript : 22,0cm x 3,4cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 68 in Tamil and Arab. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
The manuscript contains 68 palm leaves of 16 lines per leaf. It has no wooden boards.
