Description
The manuscript is constituted of a text of 8 palm leaves from the talipot palm tree (Corypha umbraculifera) numbered 1, 4, 23, 43 to 46 and 63. It is in good condition; the leaf 43 is broken.
The text, entitled Akattiyar vaittiyam, is written in verses; it is incomplete. The text describes the preparation of Apraka centūram, Cavvīra centūram and Caṭāṭcara centūram, as well as an electuary (lēkiyam) for treating metrorrhagia (perumpāṭu) and a medicine (maruntu) for treating five types of convulsions (vali añcu).
A part of this text presents a method to worship (pūcikkum vakai).

குடை பனை ஓலைகளால் ஆன 1, 4, 23, 43 முதல் 46 மற்றும் 63 என்ற எண் கொண்ட 8 ஓலைகளை கொண்ட ஒரு நூலை உடையது இந்த சுவடி.இது நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ளது; 43 ஆம் ஓலை உடைந்து உள்ளது
அகத்தியர் வைத்தியம் என்ற தாலிபுடைய இந்த நூல் விருத்தம் வடிவில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது; இது முழுமை இல்லாதது.இந்நூல் அப்ரக செந்தூரம், சவ்வீர செந்தூரம் மற்றும் சடாட்சர செந்தூரம் போன்ற மருந்துகளின் செய்முறையையும், மேலும் பெரும்பாட்டுக்கு லேகியம் மற்றும் வலி அஞ்சுக்கும் மருந்து செய்முறை பற்றியும் விளக்குகிறது.

Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 32,5cm x 4,4cm. The palm leaves (in Corypha umbraculifera) of the text are numbered in Tamil and Arab 1, 4, 23 and 43 to 46. The manuscript is in condition; the leaf 43 is broken.
The manuscript contains 8 palm leaves of 22 lines per leaf. It has no wooden boards.
System of Arrangement
Arrangement : the eight leaves were originally in the manuscript Mohana_KK_MSS15. They were removed to form the present manuscript, because the place of the holes to receive the thread for tying the leaves as well as the size of the leaves were different, and hindered to close this manuscript perfectly.

The manuscript belonged to Mohana Raj's grandfather, Vēlāyutaṉ vaittiyar (1887/1965), a siddha practitioner who was president of the association ATSVS and taught when the college was founded by the association. He paid copyists to write manuscripts borrowed from siddha practitioners and collected some from his peers.
