Description
The manuscript is made up of a text whose the palm leaves are numbered from 1 to 81. There are two leaves n°41, the text is complete. The manuscript is in good condition. The leaves are very darkened by fungus and their edges are slightly damaged by strings of insect’s eggs, but reading of the text is not affected.
The text, entitled Akattiyar Karma Cūttiram, is written in verses. It presents various diseases with their types, clinical features and formulations of medicines to treat them. It explains the way to improve the karma in order to get rid of these diseases.
The diseases concern tuberculosis (cayam), disease similar to cancer (puṟṟu nōy), disease caused by vāta imbalance, fever (cura nōy), gastritis (kuṉma nōy), flatus (āṉanta vāyu), dysentery (kirāṇi nōy), urinary tract infection (mēkam), carbuncle (piḷavai), skin disease (kuṭṭam), leprosy (kuṟai nōy), convulsions (vali nōy), insanity (kirikai nōy), enlargement of lymh node in neck region (kaṇṭamālai) and eye disesases (kaṇ viyāti).

1 முதல் 81 வரை எண் கொண்ட ஓலைகளை கொண்ட ஒரு நூலை கொண்டது இந்த சுவடி.41 என்ற எண்ணில் இரண்டு ஓலைகள் உள்ளன, இது முழுமையானது.இந்த சுவடி நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ளது.இதன் ஓலைகள் பூஞ்சையால் மிகவும் கருமை நிறம் அடைந்தும் மற்றும் அதன் ஓரங்கள் பூச்சியால் அரிக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தாலும் அதன் எழுத்துக்கள் பாதிக்கப்படவில்லை.
அகத்தியர் கர்ம சூத்திரம் என்ற தலைப்புடைய இந்த நூல் விருத்தம் வடிவில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது.இது பல்வேறு நோய்கள், அவற்றின் வகைகள், குறிகுணம் மற்றும் அவற்றிற்கான மருந்து செய்முறைகள் பற்றி விளக்குகிறது.மேலும் இந்நோய்களின் கர்ம நிவர்த்தி பற்றியும் கூறுகிறது.
இதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள நோய்களாவன சயம், புற்று நோய், வாத நோய், சுர நோய், குன்ம நோய், ஆனந்த வாயு, கிராணி நோய், மேகம், பிளவை, குட்டம், குறை நோய், வலி நோய், கிரிகை நோய், கண்டமாலை மற்றும் கண் வியாதி

Size of the manuscript : 23.8cm x 3.7cm. The palm leaves are numbred from 1 to 81 in Tamil and Arab; two leaves are numbered 41. The manuscript is in good condition. The leaves are very darkened by fungus and their edges are slightly damaged by strings of insect’s eggs, but reading of the text is not affected.
The manuscript contains 82 palm leaves of 14 to 18 lines per leaf. It has no wooden boards.
