The manuscript is composed of 9 texts, complete, written in verses. The texts deal mostly with formulation of medicines and iatrochemical processes. The manuscript has been bitten by rodents, some leaves being very damaged.

Text 1- The text is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 21. The text describes the formulations of Cintāmaṇi kuḷikai and Cura kēcari kuḷikai, of Nāka centūram used to treat gastritis (kuṉmam), and preparation of medicines whose the category is not mentioned for treating venereal diseases (mēkaveṭṭai), jaundice (kāmālai), pain in the liver (īral vali), anemia (cōkai), a disease not identified (cūṭu) and state of unconsciousness (mayakam) caused by pitta imbalance, diseases caused by vāta imbalance, dysentery (aticāra kirāṇi), fistula (pavuttiram), piles (mūla vāyu), flatus (vāyvu, vayaṟu porumal), colic pains (cūlai, cūlai kaṭuppu), ascitis (makōtaram), urinary tract infection (mēkam), skin diseases (kuṭṭam), carbuncle (vippuruti), headache (maṇṭai iṭi), eye diseases (kaṇ viyāti), sinusitis (pīṉicam), tooth ache (pal viyāti), enlargement of lymph node in neck region (kaṇṭamālai), muscle cramp (keṇṭai) and burning sensation of the entire body (uṭampu erivu).

Text 2- The text is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 30. It describes formulations of medicines :

Dried plant powder : Nilavākai cūraṇam.

Medicated oils : Viṭamuṭṭi tailam, Kantaka tailam and Āvārampaṭṭai tailam.

Wax-like medicine : Tāḷaka meḻuku, Cātiliṅka meḻuku, Raca meḻuku and Kantaka meḻuku; Kantaka veṇṇey

Calcined white medicine prepared from black hen : Karuṅkōḻi paṟpam.

Calcined red medicine prepared from metals and minerals : Kirāmpu centūram, Vaṅka centūram, Kantaka centūram, and Taṅka centūram.

Pills : Raca kuḷikai

Stone-like medicine :Tāḷaka kaṭṭu, Uppu kaṭṭu and Kantaka kaṭṭu,

A medicine (maruntu) for treating deafness (cevi mantam).

The text exposes the artificial method (vaippu) to prepare mercuric chloride (vīram), the method to purify calcined sulphur (kantaka veḷḷai) and describes the five types of arsenic (pañca pāṣāṇam).

Text 3- The text, entitled Rōmariṣi vaittiyam, is formed by palm leaves numbered from 1 to 6. The formulations the text presents are Pūta tailam and Paraṅkipaṭṭai tailam as well as a medicine (maruntu) for treating poisons (viṣam).

Text 4- The text, entitled Caṭṭaimuṉi Cūttiram, is made of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 8. The formulations which are exposed in the text are : Aṇṭa cuṇṇam, Kaṭuṅkāra cuṇṇam and Vaḻalai. The text provides additionally brief information on embryology (karu uṟpatti).

Text 5- The text, entitled Koṅkaṇar Carakku Vaippu, contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 26. The text describes the artificial method (vaippu) to prepare metals : zinc (nākam) and tin (veḷḷīyam), and minerals : zinc oxide (maṭal tuttam), arsenic pentasulphide (pāṣāṇam, kauri), red sulphide of mercury (raca centūram), cinnabar (cātiliṅkam), mercuric chloride (vīram), lead monoxide (mirutārciṅki), copper sulfite (turucu), potash alum (cīṉākkāram), borax (veṅkāram), camphor (cūṭaṉ), borneol (paccai kaṟpūram), and sal ammoniac (navāccāram). The text explains the process to combine mercury and sulphur (racakanti) and to solidify mercury (racamaṇi). It informs also on the technique to make iron vessel used for iatrochemical processes that does not interact with arsenic (toṭṭi, urukku toṭṭi). Additionally, the text describes three vegetal products : Boswellia serrata (cāmpirāṇi), Ferula asafetida (peruṅkāyam) and Papaver somniferum (apiṉi).

Text 6- The text, entitled Akattiyar Cūttiram, contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 3 on which the formulation of a pill, Kuru Kuḷikai, based on mercury, is described.

Text 7- The text, entitled Karuvūrār palatiraṭṭu, is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 69; the leaves 24, 26, 30, 31 and from 38 to 48 have been very bitten. It mainly explains the preparation of medicinal products : Cūta meḻuku and Tāḷaka meḻuku, Cavukāra veṇṇey, Nāka paṟpam, Cavukāra cuṇṇam, Taṅka cempu, Tampaṉa kuḷikai and Vālai añcaṉam, Pāṣāṇa pōkku, Pāṣāṇa kaṭṭu and Liṅka kaṭṭu.

The describes arsenic (tāḷakam) and the processes to purify (cutti) zinc (nākam) and to make a pearl of solidified mercury (racamaṇi),

The text describes numerous medicinal plants (tampaṉa mūlikai) : Cannabis sativa (kañcā), Datura stramonium (marulūmattai), Ficus benghalensis (ālam viḻutu), Hemidesmus indicus (naṉṉāri), Eugenia caryophyllaea (kirāmpu), Smilax zeylanica (kaṭṭukkoṭi), Spermacoce hispida (nattai cūri), Trianthema decandra (cāraṇai, veṇcāraṇai), Jasminum angustifolium (kāṭṭu malli), Hydnocarpus laurifolia (nīrkkākkai), Calotropis procera (veḷḷerukku), Capparis zeylanica (pūmicarkkarai), Crotalaria verrucosa (nari viraṭṭi), Cacalia klieni (māṉcevikaḷḷi), Indigofera tinctoria (avurivēr), Solanum xanthocarpum (kaṇṭaṅkattiri), Heliotropium indicum (tēḷkoṭukku), fiber (naṟ) and seeds (koṭṭai) of Sphaeranthus indicus (karantai), Dolichos biflorus (karuṅkāṇam), Euphorbia tirucalli (tiruku kaḷḷi), Cassia occidentalis (ceṅkattāri), Ricinus communis (kāṭṭāmaṇakku), Phyllanthus niruri (kīḻkāy nelli), Aristolochia bracteata (āṭutīṇṭāppāḷai), (āṉai cavuṭṭaṭi), Peristrophe Paniculata (tuṭari), Clerodendron phlomides (ciṟu muṉṉai), Aristolochia indica (talai curuḷi), Andrographis paniculata (ciṟiyānaṅkai), Cressa cretica (aḻukaṇṇi), Abutilon indicum (vaṭṭa tutti), Azima tetracantha (caṅkaṉ vēr), Craeteva magna (māviliṅkam), Ammannia baccifera (nīrmēl neruppu), Gloriosa superba (kārttikai kiḻaṅku), Aconitum ferox (nāpi), Plumbago zeylanica (cittira mūli), Lawsonia inermis (marutāṇi) and a plant not identified called āṉai cavuṭṭaṭi.

The text evokes as well eight types of postures in yoga (aṣṭa karṇam)

Text 8- The text, entitled Akattiyar kuḻampu, is formed by palm leaves numbered from 1 to 4 that describe the preparation of Akattiyar kuḻampu and its adjuvant.

Text 9- The text, entitled Māṭṭu vākaṭam, contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 4. The text concerns veterinary medicine, notably related to bovine’s diseases such as fever (aḻal nōy, vekkai nōy) and difficulty in swallowing (aṭappaṉ nōy). The text mentions a medicine (maruntu) for treating tuberculosis (elumpurukki nōy) and improving condition of undernourished cattle (poliyiṭā māṭu), as well as some other cattle’s diseases.

Size of the manuscript : 23.0cm x 3.0cm. The 9 texts are formed palm leaves numbered respectively from 1 to 21; 1 to 8 and 4 to 30; 1 to 6; 1 to 8; 1 to 26; 1 to 3; 1 to 69; 1 to 4 and 1 to 4. There are two blank leaves placed at the end of the manuscript. The manuscript is in average condition; many leaves are broken or bitten by rodents, some are very damaged.

The manuscript contains 181 palm leaves of 16 lines per leaf. It has two wooden boards.
