Description
The manuscript is made of a text of 51 palm leaves comprising a board, leaves numbered from 1 to 49 and a second leaf numbered 29. The text is complete. The manuscript is in excellent state.
The text, written in prose, contains basic information on astrology, notably the names of stars and zodiac signs and the correspondence between zodiac signs and stars, including the effects of stars on zodiac signs. Basing on the Pañca Paṭci Cāttiram, a system of prediction using five birds (pañca pakṣi), the text mentions additionally the bird which corresponds to each star.

51 ஓலைகளால் ஆன ஒரு நூலை கொண்ட இந்த சுவடி 1 முதல் 49 வரை உள்ள ஓலைகளை ஒரு பிரிவாகவும், இரண்டாவது 29 ஓலையும் ஆகும்.இந்த நூல் முழுமையானது ஆகும்.இந்த சுவடி மிகவும் நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ளது.
உரைநடை வடிவில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ள இந்த நூல் ஜோதிடத்திற்கான அடிப்படை செய்திகள், நட்சத்திரங்களின் பெயர்கள், அவற்றின் ராசிகள், அவற்றின் உச்ச நீச நிலை பற்றி கூறுகிறது.கூடுதலாக பஞ்ச பக்ஷி சாத்திரத்தில் கூறப்படும் நட்சத்திரங்களுக்குரிய பக்ஷிகள் போன்றவற்றை பற்றியும் கூறுகிறது
Extent and Format of Original Material
Size of the manuscript : 16.5cm x 2.8cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 49. A blank leaf and an introductive leaf are placed at the beginning of the text and a blank leaf at the end. The manuscript is in excellent state.
The manuscript contains 52 palm leaves. The number of lines in each leaf is very variable from 4 to 14. It has no wooden boards.

Rearrangement : 2nd part of a manuscript which was formed by palm leaves of three different sizes.
