Description
The manuscript comprises of a text of 26 palm leaves. The text is written both in Sanskrit verses (śloka-s) and in prose; it is incomplete. The manuscript is in bad condition : from the 13th leaf to the end, the palm leaves have been bitten by rodents.
The text, entitled Varalakṣmi Vrata Kalpam, concerns the worship of the goddess and explains the diverse means to express one’s devotion and to acquire her graces. The text describes the fasting called Varalakshmi vratam (vratam in Sanskrit means vow) which is observed by married women to the intention of the Cakti. The vow aims to request the goddess to provide protection and good health for their husband. The text lists the 108 names (aṣṭōtra nāmāvaḷi) of Cuppiramaṇiyaṉ chanted during worship.

26 ஓலைகளை கொண்ட ஒரு நூலை உடையது இந்த சுவடி.இந்நூல் பாதி ஸ்லோகங்களாகவும் பாதி உரைநடையாகவும் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது.இந்த சுவடி மோசமான நிலையில் உள்ளது; 13 ஆம் ஓலையில் இருந்து கடைசிவரை உள்ள ஓலைகளை எலி கடித்துள்ளது

Size of the manuscript : 30,0cm x 3,8cm. The text has 26 palm leaves without numbering. The manuscript is in bad condition : the leaves from the 13th to the end have been bitten by rodents.
The manuscript contains 34 leaves of 14-16 lines each. The manuscript has no wood boards.
