[Prakīrṇaviṣayāḥ]

Copied from a palm-leaf MS of J. Visvanatha Sivacarya, Melamankalam, Madurai Dt. Folios 40cm x 4cm, numbered 1-29, 1-70, 1-22 written in two hands. There are three extra pages in the beginning. The first page records the contents of the text, the second page records the title of the text and the third page gives a note about the bundle, which reads: " aṃśumadādi. The palm-leaf manuscript belongs to śrī P. viśvanātha śivācārya, Melamangalam, Madura - Dist. The manuscript has a measurement of 40 cm in length and 4 cm in width. The leaves are numbered, but not continuously and in three pieces, first from 1 to 29, then from 1 to 70 and lastly from 1 to 22. One an average there are six or seven lines per page. Two handwritings are seen here, one being good and the other hopelessly bad. The work contains a collection of fragmentary paṭala-s from four āgamas in poetic diction as well as some kindred matters on prayoga (practical side) and miscellaneous subjects, in prose session. There are fourteen paṭalas in all, eight paṭalas from Aṃśumān, four from Raurava, one from Suprabheda and one from Kāraṇa. All these paṭalas contain a total number of 865 ślokas. The prose version runs upto 270 pages. The procedure followed in prayogas like prāṇapratiṣṭhā, maṇḍapapūjā etc, in this work is tolerably good and elaborate.
