Miscellaneous Notes
Copied from a MS belonging to Sri Swaminatha Sivacharya of Tiruvavaduturai, Tanjore Dt. There are two extra pages in the beginning, the first of which records a note about the text and the second page gives the contents of the text. The note reads: " Cintyāgama
The manuscript belongs to Sri Swaminātha Sivācārya of Tiruvāvaduturai, Tanjore, Dt. This is in notebook form in foolscap size. The matter is written in the pages beginning from 5 and ending in 149. The script is Devanāgarī. The writing is good. There are 33 lines per page. The transcript copy covers 480 pages. There are about 2370 ślokas. This contains thirty paṭalas from cintyāgama. The beginning is from tantrāvatāra and ends with antyeṣṭi. The colophons at the ends of paṭalas mention only the name of cintya and not any particular pāda in it. The paṭalas are regularly consecutive as at the end of every paṭala, the subject matter of the next paṭala is announced. The end of the last paṭala says that śivaśrāddha will be continued in the next following but unfortunately the manuscript terminates there. J. Ramanujam 12/09/1960 "
