Copied from a MS belonging to J. Visvanathasivacharyar, Melamankalam, Madurai Dt. This is a collection of some fragmentary paṭalas from āgama-s and tantra-s, some chapters on prayoga paddhati and some miscellaneous kindred matters. The āgamic paṭalas from this transcript are from the vīra, kāraṇa, kāmika, suprabheda, kumāratantra, siddhāntatantra, and bhīmasaṃhitā. About 20 are given without attribution. There are 4 extra pages at the beginning, which include a title page, two pages of contents and a page giving a note which reads: "The palm leaf manuscript belongs to śrī J. viśvanātha śivācārya, Melamangalam, Madura Dt. This contains 94 leaves. Twelve ou of them measure 26 and 3.5cm. The script is grantha. On an average there are six to seven lines per page in about seventy leaves and eleven to thirteen lines in the rest. The writin is normally good except in very few places. The numbering of leaves has not been done in one single stretch. Here and there, some numbers in the leaves are found missing, thus marking gaps in some of the prakaraṇas, at the beginning or at the end. Even the middle portions are missing in a few. The transcript copy covers 422 pages and contains about 2100 granthas. The manuscript is a collection of some fragmentary paṭalas from āgamas and tantras, some chapters on prayogapaddhati and some miscellaneous kindred matters. The āgamic paṭalas coming under this manuscript are as follows: thirteen paṭalas from vīra, two from kāraṇa, one from kāmika, one from suprabheda, two from kumāratantra, two from siddhāntatantra, two from bhīmasaṃhitā and about twenty without any mention of the original work. On prayogapaddhati there are subjects like dak.iṇāmūrtimantravidhi, gaṇapatiyantrādividhi, maṇḍapapūjā, vedīpūjā etc. nityakarmavidhi dealt with under these heads, though incomplete due to the termination of leaves, has been done in a manner exceedingly good and the nyāsavidhāna on ajapāgāyatrīmantra coming in it must be given special mention.
