This transcript is said to have been copied from an MS No. TR 6151 of the Adyar Library. This work is in the form of conversation between śiva and devi. Many colophons are different regarding the source of the text for example the first paṭala and the 70th paṭala are said ro form part of the pūrvakhaṇḍa of the vināyakatantra, while the 25th forms part of the rahasyakhaṇḍa of the said work. It is noted in Tamil on the p. 382, that the 10 paṭalas form the 46th to the 55th are not found in the original here, what is meant by the term original is to be confirmed and so the copyist should have copied these paṭala-s from some other manouscript. These paṭala-s are found in pp. 639-688. Date of the transcript is dated as 8/1/64 at the end of the contents list
