Yogaśata

Transcripts T 0576 and T 0577 are kept in single bundle. Copied from a MS belonging to the Oriental Institute, Baroda, Acc. No. 8007 (6). There is an extra page at the beginning which records the title of the text and next to this there is a small sheet of typed paper which records briefly the history of the manuscript (from which it is copied). The end page of this text gives a note regarding this text and the palm-leaf manuscript, which reads: " According to verse 1 the title of the work is yogaśata and the subject is medicine. Simple formulae are ginven for fever etc. The Author's name is not found in the work. There is a colophon of the commentary. The author of the com. was Harihara Sarma, a brahmain of Mithila (north Bihar). But there is nothing in the com. except samall sentences inrtoducing the verses, such as atha jvaracikitsāmāha, atha tridoṣajvaracikitsāmāha etc. The title of the com. is vaidyavallabhā. The text is complete in 104 verses. Transcribed from a Telugu MS belonging to Boroda Central Library(Oriental Institute, Borada) with NO.8007(6). 11-16 fol. 48.5 x 4 cm. 7-8 lines. Palf leaf old, dim, Telugu writing, not very clear. The last fol is cut off in the upper border and one line is lost. S.D (about 1800 AD.)
