Bahudaivatya

This transcript is copied from a Tulu MS with No. RE 44916 of the French Institute of Pondicherry. There are two extra pages at the beginning, of which the first page records the title of the text and second records the contents of the text and a note written by the scribe of this transcript, which reads: " The work bahudaivatya is available here in paṭalas 18-21[17 - 21]. Colophons of 19-20 paṭalas are not found. The portion dealing with śāstṛ-ārādhana is parhaps a paṭala forming bahudaivatya." bahunāṃ devatānāṃ idaṃ bahudaivatyam

" (śivabhāgavatavatsamāsaḥ). Intended to deal with utsava sanapana etc. of many deities. Sometimes it adopts śaivāgama and sometimes vaiṣṇavāgama. It is bhāgavatasampradāya which was prevalant in S.K. before madhvacharya's avatāra and which is followed even now by some people ". Also a note at the end (p. 106) reads: " Copied from a palm leaf MS belonging to Sri ……… of coondapū taluk of S.K. Tulu script 45 - 4.5cm.1- 25 fol. (by counting 10 - 12 lines damaged on borders. Fol. Are, it seems out of order in some places. Small neat handwriting , not always correct. This is the last work in this bundle[the manuscript from which it is copied]. The other works are vaḍḍiśamahātantra [T 0964] and siddhāntaśekhara[T 0969]". But the vaḍḍiśamahātantra bearing No. T 0964 and siddhāntaśekhara bearing No. T 0969, records two different manuscript number (RE- 44555 and RE-44822) on their cover
