This Ms. contains the kārtikamāhātmya in 30 chs. taken from the padmapurāṇa (colophons on fols. 2a and 45a). They correspond to chapters 88 to 117 of the printed edition of the uttarakhaṇḍa (pūrvārdha) of thispurāṇa (gurumaṇḍala series no.18, Calcutta 1959). However, if chapter 1-29 agree fully with chapters 88-116 of this edition, there is much discrepancy between chapter 30 of the Ms. and chapter 117 of the edition
