Miscellaneous Notes

This text contains the procedure to recite Ajapāgāyatrīmantra, which is very useful for a person to attain yogic power. Fols.83b-94b contain the treatment of Ajapāgāyatrī. Two leaves are lost in this text which is incomplete. Fols. 95a-100b contain the same treatment which is also incomplete having no beginning and no end and having lost six leaves in the middle. The word ajapā, in the word ajapāmantra, refers to the repetition of the mantra called Haṃsamantra in an unarticulated way. This is to be done through mere exhalation and inhalition of breath 21600 times beginning from sun's rise on a particular day till sunrise next day. This japa is to be offered to various deities like Gaṇeśa, Viṣṇu, Rudra and others who are to be meditated upon as remaining in the circles called Mūlādhāra, Svādhiṣṭhāna and others
