Vātulaśuddha

The Ms. contains the ten chapters of the jñānapāda of the vātulaśuddha, which is one among the twelve upāgama-s of the vātulāgama, the 28th mūlāgama. The other 11 upāgama-s are vātula, vātulottara, kālajñāna, prarohita, sarva, dharmātmaka, nitya, śreṣtha, mahānana, viśva and viśvātmaka. The mūlāgama is not available in full. It is not definitely known whether these form part of the upāgama vatula. Among the upāgama-s vātulottara, kālajñāna and vātulaśuddha alone are available. Fol. 134a gives the date of the Ms.:-Piṅgalasaṃvatsara Dhaurmāsa pañcadaśadina. Fol.134b mentions Subhānu cittirai, 8th day, Saturday, Aaśleṣānakṣatra and Tiruvaiyaru as the place. The first fol. is numbered as 64. This shows that 63 folios of this bundel must contain the treatment of some other topic
