This Ms. is recent and well-preserved. This text is one of the basic works of nātha tradition. It is composed by gorakṣanātha, one of the gurus of the nātha cult which is a branch of the tāntritradition. The yogasādhana practised by the tāntrics, the characteristics of avadhūta, etc. are dealt with in the text. It contains six chapters and is complete. For more details about nātha cult refer to the Cultural Heritage of India, vol. IV., pp. 280-290

Fol - 1, l - 1; śrīrastu॥ śrīgurubhyo namaḥ॥ śrīgorakṣanāthasiddhaviracitasiddhasiddhāntapaddhatiḥ prārabhyate। ādināthaṃ namaskṛtya śaktiyuktaṃ jagadguruṃ vakṣye gorakṣanātho 'haṃ siddhasiddhāntapaddhatim। nāsti nityavicāre 'smin utpattiścāṇḍapiṇḍayoḥ tathāpi lokavṛdhyarthaṃ vakṣye satyapradhānataḥ॥
