Miscellaneous Notes

This text speaks about the saukhya rite consisting in music and dance to be performed in the temple at the time of pratiṣṭhā and utsava. This text has a reference to the origin and the initiation(?) of the temple danseuses and of pañcācārya-s such as nartaka. Though the colophon reads, 'bhedamārgaśatasahasrasaṃhitāyāṃ' nothing is known about it

varaṃgārohaṇānte tu saṅ[u?]khyakarma vadasva me। īśvara uvāca। nāmnāmaṣṭaśantaṃ vakṣe[ṣye] u[bha?]yoḥ parameśvarī। mahāsammohīnī devī sundarī bhuvanāpatī। pratiṣṭhotsavakarmādau anyo nityotsaveṣu ca।

nṛttakasya praviṣṭena gāyako ganikākulam। sarvāvayavasaṃyuktaṃ sarvālaṅkāraśobhitam। daśanṛttāni geyāni sadā mṛtyu[ñ?]jayārthanam। śrīkaraṃ vijayaṃ puṇyaṃ āyūrārogyavardhanam। bhedamārgaśatasahasrasaṃhitāyāṃ saukhyanṛttapaṭalaḥ।
