Miscellaneous Notes
Before this text fol. 51, which exists with it's left half only, records fragment of certain text. The beginning folio(fol.52) of this text exists with it's left half only. In fact, the text " itihāsopaniṣad " seems to be ended on fol. 56b, line-4 and then starts " somotpatti " which might be a part of the main text " itihāsopaniṣat "; but that somotpatti protion does not constitute a part of the printed edition of itihāsopaniṣat

Fol - 52a, l - 1; itihasaṃ (in margin) । vṛṣādarvīkulaṃ haviśśibikulaṃ babhūvatva tasyāya . . . . . .[tasyāyamitihāsaḥ kulavidyā babhūva। tadyo ha smemamadhīte sa ha smai rājā bhavati । ] sa kiñcit prāpyāntarhitaḥ sso bravīt । yo māmitiha . . . [māmitihāsaṃ grāhayet। varamasmai dadyāmiti। tato brāhmaṇaḥ saṃyogaṃ saṃyuyuje।] tamādityādpuruṣo bhāskaravarṇo niṣkramya sa ena . . . . .
Manuscript Ending
Fol - 57b, l - 2; ya imāṃ sotpattiṃ[somotpattiṃ] śrāddhakāle sadā paṭhet। tadantamamṛtaṃ bhuktvā pitṛṇāndattamakṣayaṃ । ya imāṃ somotpattiṃ sarvakāle sadā paṭhet । sarvān kāmānavāpnoti somalokaṃ sa gacchati । śrīsomalokaṃ sa gacchatyannamona mayiti?। śukle devān pitṛn kṛṣṇe tarpayatyamṛto nayaḥ । yaśca rājādvijātīnāṃ tasmai somātmane namaḥ । śrīmadekāṃbra[ekāmra]nāthāya namaḥ । śivāya namaḥ ।
