There are two extra folios at the beginning, of which the first records the title of the text and the second a verse in praise of ācāra, i.e. good conduct. This text has been recorded in two sections, viz. pūjāvidhi and vratakathā, of which the section section has been scribed in Tamil language and Grntha script

Fol - 1a, l - 1; kedārīvrataṃ। śubhamastu (in margin) । maheśvaraṃ vṛṣabhārūḍhaṃ liṃgamūrtidharaṃ śivam। nāgaśūladharaṃ devam abhayañca caturbhujam॥ śuddhasphaṭikasaṃkāśaṃ śuddhavyāghrājināṃbaram। siddhagandharvasevyaṃ dhyāyet kedāramīśvaram॥ kedāreśvarāya namaḥ। dhyānaṃ । āgaccha bhagavān sarva jagannātha maheśvaram। pūjāṃ gṛhāṇa deveśa pārvatiprāṇavallabhā॥ kedāreśvarāya namaḥ।
Manuscript Ending
Fol - 20a, l - 3; saṃpartukaluḍane yinda bhūlokattile sukhattai aḍañju dehāntattile śivalegasāyujyattai yeḍañju। mokṣattai peruvārkal । iti śrīskāṃde purāṇe umāmaheśvarasaṃvāde kedāravrata śatamodhyayaḥ। svasti prajābhyaḥ paripālayantāṃ। nyāyena mārgeṇa mahiṃ maheśāḥ। vijaya nāma saṃvatsaraṃ tulāmāsaṃ kṛṣṇapakṣaṃ dvitīyai paraṇi[bharaṇī] nakṣatraṃ intacupatiṇattil vallakoṭiyil yelutimuṭiñjutu। śrīkaṇṭhabhāradvājavidyādharapaṇḍitaril tirukkaccur ।
