Copied from a MS belonging to Akshaya Sivacharya son of Kalyana Sivacharya, Kilvelur, Tanjore Dt. The chapter saurapūjāvidhi noted in the contents list as covering pp. 1-11 is missing. The rauravasūtrasaṅgraha has been printed as the vidyāpāda of rauravāgama. There are six pages extra in the beginning, the first two of which record the title of the text and the second three pages record the contents of the text. The sixth page gives a note about the text which reads: śrīrauravāgamam
rauravāgama. The palm-leaf manuscript of rauravāgama belongs to śiva śrī Akṣayaśivācāriar, son of late śrīkalyāṇaśivācāriar, kilvelur, Tanjore Dt. The palm leaves in the manuscript measure 40 cm. by 3.5 cm. The leaves are 121 in number. In general seven lines have been written on each side of the leaf. The total ślokas are 3105. On the whole there are 73 paṭalas. At the ends of these paṭalas, four different kinds of mention are given:- 1. In paṭalas 1, 72 and 73 the name of mere rauravatantre is given. 2. In paṭalas 2 to 48, there is the mention of rauravatantre kriyāpāde in some. 3. In paṭalas 49 to 51, the mention is as rauravasūtrasaṃgrahe. 4. In paṭalas 52 to 71, the mention is in the form of rauravottare pratiṣṭhātantre. As mentioned in palm-leaf manuscript, it has been written by one śrīsubban son of Rangavadhyar. One śrīkriṣṇamurthy śāsrti of Nagapattinam says that he is the eleventh descendent of the Ranga Vadhyar. Neelakantha Sarma 27/11/1957
