This text is a kāmikāgama in 3 sections which is different from the well-known work with the same title. Its 3 sections are called sṛṣṭikāṇḍa, sthitikāṇḍa and sa,mhārakāṇḍa treated in fols. 1-69, 70-242 and 243-284 respectively. This is called by several names kāmikamahātantra (fol. 5b), mahātantra (fol.85a), kāmikaśivāgama (fol. 11b, 142b), kāmikopodghāta (fols. 34a,50b), mahāśaivāgama (fol.57a) and uttarakāmika (fol. 100b). The colophons on fols. 69b and 95a mention that ṣṛṣṭikāṇḍa contains 1000 crores of paṭala-s. It is in the form of dialogue between umā and śiva clled saṃvāda in 5 chapters (fols. 14b, 34a, 224b, 242b, 246b) and as sallāpa in 3 chapters (fol. 69a, 135b, 198b). Maheśvara is the instructor (fol. 100b). Among the 54 chapters which this text contains, 30 are named paṭala-s, of which 16 are numbered, 9 are called upadeśa and numbered and 15 are not called by any name. The numbers given to the paṭala-s are not in any order. The colophon on fol. 100b numbers the paṭala as 1330. On the whole there is no orderly treatment of all the topics in the text. Broadly, there is only a sort of agreement in the treatment of the topics in each of the sections. Sanskrit and Tamil are used in fols. 6b, 58a-65a, 138a and 201a-205b. Naming and mixing up of sections in a manner different from what is found in the śaiva basic texts and the absence of citations from this text under the title of kāmika in any other work go to show that this, though having the title, is not the mūlāgama, kāmika
