Miscellaneous Notes
The rituals forming part of the daily worship of god tanunātha at the temple situated in Tirucculi, Tamilnadu are described in this text. The text begins with those rituals which form part of the daily routine such as śayanotthāna, snāna, bhasmadhāraṇa, etc. Those rituals like antar yāga, prāṇāyāma, puṇyāhavācana and agnikārya which are also part of the worship are also dealt with. Agnikārya is treated between fols. [70a-73b] and though the colophon on fol. [73b] reads "iti śrīmat kāraṇe ......ṇityāgnividhipaṭalaḥ" the text is at the most based on the kāraṇāgama. The text ends with the pañcāvaraṇapūjā. A few Tamil expressions are also used at some places

pañcapañca uṣaḥkālaṃ saptapañcāruṇodaye। aṣṭapañcā iti prātaḥ śeṣā[as] sūryodaya[s] smṛtaḥ। devadeva maheśānaṃ ( ) sthityutpattilayeśaka। jagatām abhivṛddhyarthaṃ yogināṃ muktihetukam। govāse jalatīre ca nadītīre śmaśānake। kūpe cai[va?] du[dru?]macchāye catvāre ca samudrake।

oṃ hāṃ triśūlātmane namaḥ। oṃ hām aṅgadātmane namaḥ। oṃ hāṃ cakrāya namaḥ। oṃ hāṃ viṣṇave namaḥ। oṃ hāṃ padmāya namaḥ। oṃ hām īśvarāya namaḥ। iti pañcāvaraṇaṃ samāptam।
