bhīmasaṃhitāyām। utsave yānahīne ca nṛpasya maraṇaṃ bhavet। diśāhomaṃ tataḥ kṛtvā tad bimbe snapanaṃ kuru। prabhūtañ ca havir dattvā 'sivamantraṃ śatañ japet।

kāraṇe। kṛttikādīpahīne tu anāvṛṣṭir bhaviṣyati। śāntihomaṃ tataḥ kṛtvā snapanaṃ kārayet prabhoḥ। arcanoktaṃ samabhyarcya havir dadyāt prabhūtakam। labdhamāse'gninakṣatre kṛttikādīpam ācaret।
