Similar to no. 13.1. Aṣṭabandhana consists in cementing the space between the pedestal and the image with the powedered ingredients of soft cotton, ghee of buffalo, granules of sand, lac, beeswax, resin, decoction of red-ochre, pebbles and jaggery. This treatment forms part of the vātulāgama, as made out from the colophon on fol. 128a. IFI.T. 991 contains a tretment similar to this on pp.310-313 but it has no agreement with this text, though the expression vātulāṣ.ṭabandhanam occurs at the beginning (p. 310). Similarly this does not agree with IFI.T. 368a. The colophon on p. 313 takes the source from vātulabheda, an upāgama of the vātulāgama, IFI. T. 751, has the colophon, iti vātule, on p.112 but has no agreement with this text

ataḥ paraṃ pravakṣyāmi aṣṭabandhanamuttamam। sarvapāpaharaṃ puṇyaṃ sarvasiddhikaraṃ śubham॥ rājarāṣṭravivṛdhyarthaṃ sarvalokaśubhapradaṃ। aṣṭabandhanahīne ca grāmanāśaṃ dhanakṣayam॥ anāvṛṣṭijvarotpannaṃ sarveṣāṃ prāṇināmapi।

sarvayajñatapodānatīrthasnāneṣu yat phalaṃ। tat phalaṃ koṭiguṇitam aṣṭabandhanakarmaṇā। bhuktvā tu vipulān bhogān ante padyañca śāmbhavīm॥ muktimāyāti tat satyaṃ nirmokā iva pannagaḥ। dhanadhānyavivṛddhissyāt sarvapāpanivāraṇam॥ ihaiva dhanavān śrīmān so'nte rudrapadaṃ labhet। iti vātulākhye pratiṣṭhātantre kriyāpāde aṣṭabandhanavidhipaṭalaḥ॥ śubhamastu॥
