This text contains the procedure for installing the astradeva namely the triśula in the middle of which the form of the concerned deity is represented. If the astradevatā is for śiva, then in the middle śūla, there is to be candraśekharamūrti, or āliṅganacandraśekharamūrti or vṛṣabhāntikamūrti or pāśupatamūrti. If it is devī, the form of the concerned devī, for gaṇeśa, the form of gaṇeśa etc. will be on the middle śūla. For subrahmaṇya the representation of subrahmaṇya will be on the śakti and not on triśūla. The suprabhedāgama, kāraṇāgama etc., have treated this. IFI.T. 146, 451, and 449 contain some extracts on this subject from śaivāgama-s. Here it is the śūla of śiva that is treated

astradevasya puṇyāhavācanaṃ kṛtvā pañcagavyena samprokṣya mṛtyuñjayamantreṇa netronmīlanaṃ kṛtvā oṃ haḥ astrāsanāya namaḥ। oṃ (h?)aḥ astramūrtaye namaḥ। oṃ haḥ astrāya namaḥ। iti astradevaṃ sampūjya pañcabrahmaṣaḍaṅgaissakalīkṛtya kautukabandhanaṃ kṛtvā nityāgnivacchivāgnimutpādya śivaṃ sampūjya oṃ hāṃ hauṃ śivāya svāhā। iti mūlena daśāhutīrhutvā।
