anena vidhinā yuktā tvaṣṭṛ'sāntiś ca kathyate। tvāṣṭṛpūrvārdhajātānāṃ pitṛtyāgo vidhīyate॥ rakṣaṇārthaṃ śiśundadyān mātṛvargeṣvathāpi vā। mātrṣvasā bāndhavāś ca rakṣeyu (r) gṛhya taṃ śiśum॥ dvā(da)śādvat sarādūrdhvaṃ pitāputran nirīkṣayet। pūrvadarśanamātreṇa pītur maraṇam ucyate॥ kumārīmapyadṛṣṭeṣveva varṣamaṣṭau tato dṛśet। vṛttaye putraphalaṃ jñeyam āśleṣāmakhapūrvakam॥
