This text deals with the śānti for kuhū, when the moon becomes invisible at sunrise on a new-moon day. The treatment is mostly similar to that in the śāntikusumākara I (Grantha), Kumbhokonam, 1935 pp. 175-176
Manuscript Beginning
indra uvāca। kuhūyuktan tu nakṣatraṃ rāśirāśyaṃśake yathā। kā kuhūś ca ko kuhūś ca ko kuhūś ca doṣaḥ kindānaṃ śāntikā kriyā॥ evaṃ vicārya yatnena yathādoṣaṃ guro vada। bṛhaspatiḥ। kuhūśāntiṃ pravakṣyāmi purā gautamam abravīt॥ yasya janmarakṣagaś candro viṣanāḍyāṃ kuhūṃ vrajet। ābhicāreṇa kintasya svayam eva mariṣyati॥
